BEAUX ARTS BALL 2009

please join the uncg IIDA campus center for our annual ball + fundraiser for a night of BOND, JAMES BOND. make sure you dress to impress in black or white attire with accents of red.

the night will start off at 8pm with a cocktail + networking hour then dancing starting around 9pm. a silent auction + live painters will last until 12-- so make sure you bring some money to help support uncg IIDA!

tickets sales are going on now! make sure you contact your studio rep to purchase tickets. tickets are:

$10 for IIDA members
$15 for non-members

parking for the event is in the greene street parking deck + free on the weekends: click here for directions: a covered walkway on level C of the parking deck leads directly into the rear entrance where upstage cabaret is located.

IIDA carolina chapter LOGO COMPETITION WINNER...

the board members of the IIDA carolina chapter picked a winner for the logo design competition-- and the winner is.......

JESSICA ZUNIGA!

congratulations jessica on a job well done! the IIDA carolinas chapter will be using jessica's design on the carolinas chapter website along with other marketing documents.

thank you all who partcipated in the competition-- a job well done for all-- it was a hard decision to be made!

beaux arts ball committee meeting.

for those of you interested in helping plan the beaux arts ball this year-- there will be a committee meeting on wednesday march 25th at 5:30pm in the crit room. we will need help with posters, tickets, decoration, and items for the silent auction-- so come bring your ideas and IIDA will see you wednesday!

clean the stream RESCHEDULED!

wear GREEN + be GREEN on tuesday march 24th [a week after st. patty's day] at 12:30 to join i.arc + UNCG's IIDA campus center to clean our adopted stream on campus! all you have to do if wear green + stream cleaning attire and show up! we will meet in the studio building's lobby at 12 then head to the stream on campus. email ashley andrews for any questions: aewarrin@uncg.edu.

SALSA lessons.

as another fundraiser for the BEAUX ARTS BALL... second year student jayson parker is going to be giving SALSA LESSONS once a week until beaux arts. the dates for the sessions will be every tuesday from 7-8:30 in the critique room on the 4th floor. the dates are as follows:

feb. 17
feb. 24
march 3
march 17
march 24
march 31
april 7
april 14

it will be $10 a session or if you want to go to all 8 sessions- you get a package deal of $60. the session will include light refreshments + an hour and a half of professional dance lessons!
just think of the money you would be saving if were to go to a professional dancing studio for salsa lessons.
